Halloween is a custom that is celebrated on the evening of 31st of October (In Slovenian, there is no official Halloween, not all holy, but two days are set aside for the holiday. We celebrate the Day of Reformation (31st of October) and All Saint’s day (1st of November). In the western countries, the children usually dress up in costumes and walk from door to door to get treats. The name 'Halloween’ comes from the word connection ‘All Hollow’s Eve' or in short ‘Hallowe’en’, and sometimes it is also referred to as ‘All Saints’ Eve’. Therefore, this is an evening before all saints. This name is a result of Christianisation in England. Halloween has its roots further into history, from the time of Celts and their believes.
